How to Use This Site
This site is managed by the Digital Education Office as a place for us to develop, publish and maintain guidance for Blackboard Ultra for participants in Wave 1 – during the 2024/2025 academic year. It is in its nature in development, and you are likely to see pages added or edited fairly regularly.
Please subscribe for updates, and avoid local copies of guides where possible.
Owing to the nature of SaaS (Software as a Service), and the rapid development of the Ultra platform, these guides are likely to be added to and updated on a regular basis as new features are added and released. Updates to the Ultra platform can occur monthly. It is highly recommended that:
- You (or a school representative) subscribes to this blog for updates about new guides as they are published. There is a button at the bottom of each page, or from the right navigation menu, for you to do this.
- You bookmark the relevant guides and use these wherever possible. Local versions of these workflows are not advisable. If local copies are made, note that they will need to be regularly maintained and updated.
Ultra Updates – What’s new in the platform
If you subscribe, you will also receive notifications by email when an ‘Ultra Update‘ is coming – these posts contain the highlights from each update to the platform. Alternatively, make sure you check the ‘Ultra Updates‘ section to find out what’s new and upcoming. These updates will be posted monthly.
Assessment Workflows – Use the menu on the right to find the guides for you
All currently available assessment workflows for Ultra are displayed on the menu on the right-hand side of the screen, and on the top menu under ‘Assessment workflows’. Select the one you want to view.
Our workflows are long and detailed, but they are chunked into sections to make navigation easier.
